-past: mitsene's life, in the world which includes the other characters, runs parallel to mine. she was made fun of as a child and had anger problems growing up, and was close to her siblings, as well as spent a lot of time outside and reading. around age 10 her parents divorced and she began to be more sulky and depressed. she was suspended from school at age 12 for threatening a student's life and so learned to shove all her anger down inside and not let it out. however, this unvented anger festered over the years, added onto by negative observations of the world and certain aspects of humanity, and throughout her teens and early adulthood created some very dark times in her life. during these times, she was followed around by rek, who highlighted and made her dwell on negative thoughts. mitsene has since started to fight back, though is never able to be rid of rek completely. in actuality, she never will -- her and rek are very closely linked, being lost twins of a sort, which explains their similar markings and hairstyles. mitsene also has an affinity for stars/moon shapes, which, to her, is a reminder of hope.
-personality: mitsene is, in a sense, me. she can be apathetic or excited, has a tendency to miss out on social situations and isolate herself, is extremely involved in painting and creativity in general, and can have very low lows interspersed with the occasional sociable, brighter outlook. has a tendency to lean towards things of the 90s as well as still maintain some childishness -- collecting stuffed animals, etc. she can't go very long without working her brain at least somewhat and is very interested in philosophy [especially eastern/zen philosophies, nihilism, and existentialism] as well as anthropology and psychology. |
